Update 5/6/2011
Hey everyone! How are you all on this beautiful Fri? All is good here We had an insane weekend @graystonechurch in Loganville, GA this past weekend. Fantastic job promoting, the turnout was amazing, and God move in a mighty way. Thank all of you who came out. And the ones who could not, it’s cool. There will be another opportunity very soon I’m sure. Check our schedule on our Website, Facebook, and Myspace for updates and when we’ll be in your area.
Aside from a great weekend, I just wrapped up a very productive week at home. I don’t know about all you married fellas out there, but my wife is so awesome and the most amazing woman in the world. I lead with this because I’m about to reveal something else in regards to “Love Languages”. Rest easy….. this is PG (grin w/ a wink). Now my Love Language is affection. I am as absolutely happy as I can be if she hugs on me, gives me a kiss, or simply scratches my arm or back. Not too tough to please huh? Well her love language is acts of service. When you put the two on the scales, it seems like mine is so much easier and less time consuming and less sweat producing. However, what puts the biggest smile on her face is for her to come home and the house clean, food cooked, dishes and laundry put up, or massive work projects at least started outside.
As you know we’re approaching mothers day. I was able to have some real productive days around the house by doing massive amounts of landscaping, bricking a sidewalk and clearing around the backside of our house.. A project that I have meant to get to for a long time, but one circumstance after another has prohibited the process. Anyway, I am thankful to God to have the opportunity to serve my bride and the mother of our children in such a way. I joke with her about her love language requiring so much work. But at the end of the day, she works so much harder and endures so much more than I do. On top of that, I travel a lot leaving her a “part-time” single mom. She gives of herself so much and she shares me and her time with me with any and everyone. It is an honor and pleasure to treat her with the highest respect and service possible. She’s my princess and I’ll be her knight. Chivalry is NOT dead. Men, be men and treat your ladies well. Love on them, respect them, and serve them. If they are not mothers yet, I challenge you to do something for them this weekend. Take them out, cook for them, by them some flowers, tell them you love them. They are God’s greatest gift (other than salvation of course) to us men.
This is for you men and women. Love on your mom this mothers day If they are still with us, DO NOT let this day go by with out letting them know how much you love and appreciate her! The love of a mother is unsurpassed. My mom was and is so amazing to us. And now I see how my wife loves our boys. Love and respect your mom because chances are, she has spent a lifetime of caring for you if it meant she didn’t eat a bite until you were fed, or shivering while cold to make sure you were clothed. To my mom – I love you so much and thank you for you unending love!
Lastly – I’m gonna start a weekly “connection” with you all. I’m gonna start this coming week. What I want all of you to do is shoot me some questions. Every week I want to answer these questions personally via video. Think about what ya wanna ask and there’s no limit on how many questions you ask. I’m available at some point in time almost every day. So depending on the volume, it might start as a weekly thing up to a daily thing. Shoot them to the band’s facebook / twitter, or my facebook / twitter. I want you always to be in the know of what’s going on and a part of what we do. I would even like to possibly do a real-time skype or iChat with you. This ministry and this band all individually love you all so much and are here for you.
Please remember to keep the storm victims and communities in your hearts and prayers. Reach out and do something. Also remember our service men and women who give of themselves everyday and night to keep this country safe!
Peace and Blessings, J*P*(EA)
